The Kalamazoo State Theatre is thrilled to announce that the iconic alternative rock band Silversun Pickups will be gracing its stage on Friday, March 1, 2024 with special guests Hello Mary. The band, known for their textured sonic palette and emotional lyrics, will be performing tracks from their latest album, Physical Thrills, among other fan favorites.

About Silversun Pickups:

Silversun Pickups’ sixth album, Physical Thrills, emerged as a serendipitous creation during unprecedented times. The band, comprised of guitarist and singer Brian Aubert, bassist Nikki Monninger, drummer Christopher Guanlao, and keyboardist Joe Lester, took a hiatus from touring due to the pandemic. This break allowed them to discover new directions in their music, influenced by a mix of “dream shanties,” horror-inspired sounds, and gentler vocals.

Produced by the legendary Butch Vig, Physical Thrills is an exploratory album that doesn’t stray far from the Silversun Pickups sound fans know and love. It offers an eclectic mix of melodies, each interconnected and meant to be experienced as a cohesive body of work.

This concert promises to be a one-of-a-kind experience, showcasing the band’s new direction while paying homage to their roots. Expect a live performance that captures the essence of Physical Thrills, filled with wide-ranging sounds from shoegaze-infused synths to pared-down ballads.

This much-anticipated event offers a mix of general admission pit and reserved seating options throughout the theatre for all ages to enjoy. A limit of eight (8) tickets per purchase applies.

Skip the line Ticket Information:

Why wait in the elements when you can skip the line?! This is a separate ticket that will grant you expedited entry into the venue. Skip The Line entry is located near the main entrance of the building. Look for VIP / Skip The Line signage or ask a staff member. Present your Skip The Line pass along with your event ticket for expedited entry and to avoid the public lines. THIS IS NOT AN EVENT TICKET.
