Hot on the heels of his immensely successful solo tour, Steve Hackett’s Genesis Revisited – Foxtrot at Fifty + Hackett Highlights tour in 2022 became a resounding hit. This tour celebrates the timeless influence of Foxtrot, the album that played a pivotal role in establishing Genesis as a major force in British rock back in 1972.

Steve Hackett joined Genesis in 1971 and made his band debut on the Nursery Cryme album, which gained greater commercial success in Europe than in the UK. The band’s extensive touring and enthusiastic audience reactions encouraged them to push the boundaries of music, experimenting with longer compositions and narrative-driven performances. This artistic evolution allowed frontman Peter Gabriel to incorporate theatrical elements into their shows, further elevating the band’s profile.

Starting in 2023, Steve Hackett is set to bring Foxtrot at Fifty to North America, following the massive success of his 2022 UK tour. Speaking about the upcoming tour, Steve Hackett said, “I think Foxtrot was a terrific achievement for Genesis at that time. I think there is not one weak track on the album; they all have their strong points, and I’m really looking forward to doing the whole album live.”
